Transforming The Capitol
Big news this month is the £2.3M Capitol Building in Aberdeen project award to Transform as principal contractor for the fit out of the remaining 5 floors of this seven floor iconic city centre building. The new tenant will be Chrysaor, who have acquired a package of assets in the UK North Sea from Shell UK. The package consists of Shell's interests in Beryl, Bressay, Buzzard, Elgin-Franklin, Erskine, Everest, the Greater Armada cluster, J Block, Lomond, plus a 10% stake in Schiehallion. On completion of the acquisition, Chrysaor will become one of the largest producers of oil and gas in the UK. The assets being acquired produced 115,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Chrysaor will join current tenants Price Waterhouse Coopers and Maclay Murray & Spens in the office building on Union Street, which owners Knight Property Group and M&G Real Estate have developed. Transform have already completed the fit outs for PWC and MMS so the award of the Chrysaor project is very significant as it means that we will have fitted out the entire building when it is occupied late summer 2017.
